I am a Peruvian family physician currently pursuing a PhD in Community Health at Université Laval in Quebec. I completed a research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota (U.S.) where I participated in projects focusing on shared decision-making and minimally disruptive medicine, with a strong emphasis on improving healthcare experiences for patients with complex needs.

I have a deep interest in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion by amplifying diverse voices to better understand how factors such as immigration and culture intersect in the healthcare journey of immigrant populations. My doctoral thesis explores the cancer-related pain experiences of immigrant cancer survivors, particularly during their transition from oncology to primary care. My goal is to contribute to primary care research and clinical development, as it aims to bridge gaps in culturally sensitive care, inform patient-centered approaches, and support healthcare professionals in addressing the unique challenges faced by diverse populations.
